The assignment is designed to test your understanding of financial management and corporate finance and explores a number of areas within the module by applying your learning to a real company that was earlier listed under the main board of any Stock Exchange within Asian Region.
The Task and Context
The assignment requires you to use financial ratios to analyse a public listed company from the main board of any Stock Exchange within Asian Region in order to advise current businesses not fall into such trap of losing their prospects. Though financial ratios are based on financial statements that reflect the past, they can be used:
To evaluate performance (compared to previous years and peers);
To set benchmarks or standards for performance;
To highlight areas that need to be improved or areas that offer the most promising future potential;
To enable external parties (such as investors/lenders) in assessing the credit worthiness or profitability of the firm.
You are required to choose any one of the listed companies from the Main Board of any Stock Exchange within Asian Region as each has at least one competitor in the same industry.

This report should have an introduction, a body and a conclusion. The body is composed of the analysis of the delisted company against a competitor from the same industry. The overall conclusion of the report is a comparative evaluation of the firm to at least one other competitor in the Main Board of any Stock Exchange within Asian Region and also its industry to determine the overall strategic financial health of the firm. This will be very useful to help retail investors in their investment decision-making.
Executive Summary- 5% (not more than 200 words)

Task 1: The Firm, its Business competitors and its industry Background 300-400 words
Main Body (81%: 3000 to 3400 words)
Task 2: Summary of the Statement of its Financial Position, Statement of Financial Performance, and Shareholders equity statement and Operating cash flow statement for the past two years.
Task 3: Cash conversion cycle and liquidity analysis.
Task 4: Debt and Capital structure analysis.
Task 5: Customer Profitability Analysis.
Task 6: The factors that should be considered by the firm on appropriate level of working capital and long term source of finance on its expansion programme.
Note: You are advised to use appropriate assumptions wherever relevant.

Conclusion and Recommendations (10%)
Highlight key findings, conclusion and recommendations about the relative financial performance and health of the said company, with reference to specific data and critical evaluation done in tasks 1-6.

You are required to reference / research annual reports, books, journals, relevant magazines, newspapers and the relevant online websites. The Harvard Referencing style MUST be used in both the in text and end text citations and references. Have a minimum of 12 references.
The company I was looking at reviewing was Seek Limited on the ASX (https://www.advfn.com/stock-market/ASX/SEK/financials), however as long as the company is in the Asian Region then it is OK, but needs a competitor in the same sector.
