To pass this assignment, you must write a minimum of ten (10) typed double-spaced pages and cite AT LEAST six (6) sources including Lies, Incorporated, two sources from our library database, one reputable source from a governmental website and at least two sources of your own choosing that I approve. You cite either the author or title if there is no author. I take off 1/2 to 1 full grade for not citing properly. Also – make sure your Work Cited pages are properly formatted – alphabetized by author’s last name or title (don’t use “a” or “the” in the title – go to the next word).
Also remember to focus on the rhetoric the writers use and not the topic itself. Find a central core – something you can frame your discussion around and try not to just go from one source to the next in order to connect your topics.”
Remember that you have to cite/quote whatever you use in mla 8 style. Please do not plagiarize or summarize anything out of the sources you got it from. Anything that you use, quote it, and then talk about that quote.

Again, The topic for this research paper is about how “Tobacco companies.” and how they been deceiving the public with their false information. The topic isn’t a straight discussion of climate change or immigration, for example. What I want you to focus on is the misinformation that is used to sway public opinion to believe something that isn’t true to change policy. I also want you to discuss how the different stakeholders try to use argument to get people to believe their version of the story – how those who deny climate change make people doubt its existence despite evidence to the contrary and how those who try to argue that climate change exists counter their opponents’ claims. This topic about how tobaccos deceives the public with their misinformation must be about something where there is a controversy whose rhetoric can be manipulated and shown to be manipulated. Cite AT LEAST six (5) sources including two sources from proquest, one reputable source from a governmental website and at least two sources of your own choosing (but has to be a reasonable source, not wikepedia for example.)
