Abstract
This paper explains how the internet has impacted on the Graphic Information Design. Graphic design covers an array of fields with its pivot point on creativity. In the fast growing communication system, the internet hit the epitome in the twenty first century. The internet has greatly revolutionized the creative field of graphic design. Traditionally, the scholars and aspiring graphic designers met in a classroom to discuss the concepts, styles, techniques, practices and generally teach the idea of graphic design. However, with the adoption of the internet, a lot has changed. Universities can now share information freely aiding to efficient graphic design training. The research also points out that internet communication has enhanced marketing of graphic designs or art works.
This has been enabled by the formation of advertising and online marketing communities and sites. According to the findings of the research, more graphic designers are opting to use internet communication in enhancing business on the global scale. The main goal of the research is to show how graphic design has developed with the help of the Internet. This may be a benefit if the central concept from art and design theory, the concept of style is employed. The major hindrance of internet communication in enhancing the marketing of graphic designs is the fact that the cost of adopting network systems is high thus unaffordable to many small scale graphic designers.

Introduction
Internet communication and graphic design
A wide range of communication techniques and options are available in the internet. Many scholars claim that the invention of the internet is considered to be one of the greatest invention and innovation in the 20th century (Wendy and Kati, 2002). This is because it has revolutionized the way people communicate. The internet has had tremendous impact on how people communicate and accomplish different tasks. It has stood the test of time and is one of the greatest tools of communication which enables users to reach a wider audience in secluded locations around the world. The internet has a variety of communication forms. They range from: checking and sending mails, developing new things, shopping through an ordering process and socializing with a wide range of audiences among many other communicative options (Kitchen, 2004).
As in E. M. Forster’s ‘Howards End’, building the “Rainbow Bridge”, trying to connect between the two worlds- that is the inner world which indulges in utter sensation and emotion and the outer world made of material conditions and pragmatic values. The youth of the today ought to be aware of the giant effects of industrialization. This is by knowing exactly how much influence the revolutionized communication system can create. It is hence not possible to forgo the milestones and the new ideas and thoughts it has yielded. Through art, the designers not only reap the commercial benefit that seeps through various communication media but also from the chance to air their ideologies and in the process identifying him or herself with a product he or she believes in (Forster, 2009).
Graphic designer as an industry specializes in the production of different products which bear different designs due to the wide variety in the client’s tastes (Stevens, 1997). Graphic design as a profession involves know how and expertise of the graphic designer, the requirements of the client and the production of the producer. Graphic design entails coming up with art work that conveys a particular message that is intended to reach a particular audience (Piscopo, 2004). For many of the clients, they deem it necessary to first view a sample before acquiring their own piece. As such, marketing is a significant tool in the industry of graphic design. This is further explained by the fact that, no client can be aware of the quality of an artwork without seeing its actual existence (Raizman, 2003).
In a bid to get the target market, graphic designers venture into the internet. The internet has had a remarkable impact on the development of graphic design artwork and the industry as a whole (Heller and Ballance, 2001). Through a blog which is a small internet site that is created to profile the works of an individual the graphic designer is able to share his ideologies (Scott, 2010, ‘Las Vegas Graphic Design’, 2012). Also, the internet has facilitated the graphic designers to come up with various online galleries (Dabner, Calvert, Casey, and Dabner, 2010). The online galleries enhance and facilitate the development of online marketing activities is easy. Graphic designers have spread their galleries on the internet in a bid to target specific users. Marketing of artwork and graphic relates products, slightly differs from the marketing of other products (Kitchen, 2004). This is mainly attributed to the fact that it requires a deeper understanding of the art works for one to appreciate it. This does not however deter the majority of art related sites (commonly referred to as e – art galleries) that are launched frequently. Due to the increased amount of online conversations, the graphic design industry has reaped massive benefits from the internet. This thus denotes the worthiness of the internet in graphic design development and growth (Arntson, 2012).
The internet has impacted on how people coexist in the modern world (Quesenberry and Sykes (2008) and Whitbread (2009). This is because it has caused a transformation in all spheres of life. Over the years, the Internet has helped many people and businesses to develop strong marketing networks through reaching a wider target market. For a majority of businesses, the internet has been the main medium of communication to get to their potential customers. Graphic design industry has also engaged in online marketing seeking a business advantage and more opportunities (Sebastian, 2001). Internet use has enabled graphic designers to create awareness with regards to their items. The publicity created is intended to target specific audiences as each advert has different target groups. This is pegged to the fact that the message conveyed by the art work will be interpreted differently by the potential customer. This thus entails the graphic designer gaining a global customer or clientele base (Stone and Koskinen, 2002).
While a number of the ancient designers despise and criticize the internet revolution in enhancing their business, most modern designers have fully taken advantage of the internet and are using it to drive their products to different regions of the world (Vest, Pochran and Crowson, 2005). They have appreciated the internet and term it as a great medium of communication with their audience across different regions in the world (Ehrenberg, 1995).
Graphic design in the modern world has become sophisticated. Therefore, the internet is one of the major means through which the graphic designers acquire information on the latest developments in graphic design (Crawford and American Institute of Graphic Arts, 2008). Therefore, this research paper looks into the worth of internet communication in enhancing the work of graphic designers. It looks at how internet communication has aided graphic designers in their key mission which is having their art work reach a greater audience. This is a secondary research analysis and inferences have been drawn from the literature review.

Literature review
Graphic design
Graphic design is a creative process. Graphic design more often than not refers to, the process of designing which involves creating the communication and generating the product designs. It commonly involves a graphic designer and a client working together with a producer. Graphic design is also used to refer to artistic disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. Generally graphic design can be considered to be a wide and diverse discipline which various many production of artworks (Newark, 2007). The artworks would mainly include: logos, publications, magazines, journals or newspapers, also in books, advertising or branding of products.
A graphic design project may entail the styling and presentation of existing text and images that is facilitated by a graphic designer. A graphic designer uses a combination of visual arts, page layouts to pass information to the target audience (Drate, Robbins & Salavetz, 2006). For instance, a newspaper articles requires the journalist and the photographer to engage in research. After the relevant materials have been sought, then the graphic designer’s job is to organize the facts in a page in a reasonable manner. The graphic designer also ensures that the document has all the graphic requirements met, for example to ensure that the page layout which deals with the arrangement of elements on a page is well done.
Traditionally, graphic design was learnt in normal lectures. This is the normal process where students meet in classrooms with their teachers and go through their curriculum. However, this has been given a facelift with the coming of the internet. There now is an option for the aspiring graphic designers to meet their lecturers, peers and established graphic designers online. The use of the internet not only enhances the speed with which the students learn, but also improves the level of understanding (Alley, Schmidt, and Martin, 2000).
Graphic design adopts a special technique known as topography. Topography is the mainly the study of world features (Lanzer and Ovid 2007). Topography is generally deemed to be concerned with the local detail. Topography specifically involves recording of the three-dimensional quality of the surface also identification of specific landforms (Steiner, Butler and American Planning Association, 2007 and McLuhan, 1962).
The graphic design industry as far as technological advancement is involved; it has extended the contemporary us e of computers to the use of more complex interfaces for instance the interactive or multimedia design (Engholm, 2002). The internet has also paced up the rate at which graphic designers can update these software applications. Graphic designers can also easily access the reviews of these packages. Internet minimizes the cost of acquiring these software packages by the graphic designer thence giving them a chance to explore in other areas (Desmond, 2011).
Graphic design is widely integrated with various forms of communication in order to convey the various art works with diverse messages to society (United States, 2010). For any form of art work, any publicity is good publicity. Graphic design is no exception.    Graphic design is an old and diverse industry. It has thus been engaged in technological revolutions as other industries. Graphic design is a peculiar field as it mainly involves judgment and creativity. This has thus attributed to the industry to foregoing the ancient or traditional forms of communication to adopt the most recent and effective communication channels (Pipes, 2005).
Communication has revolutionized leading to its redefinition through the internet. The internet is a system where computers are connected or networked globally. Due to its global scope, the internet reaches out to billions of individuals around the world facilitating sharing of information. It is thus a vital information resource to mankind today (Matlow, 2000).
Pegging on the above tenets, the internet is very useful to the graphic design fraternity (the graphic designer, the client and the producer). The internet helps enhance the skills of the graphic designer. This is because, through the internet, the graphic designer is able to view the current market trends, thus enhancing the development of the industry in general. Also, the internet as a communication tool avails a marketing tool for the graphic works. The internet uplift the business or enterprise to a global perspective thus opening up the business to the online communities and as more opportunities.
Graphic design as a profession and a business requires that visual contact between customers and the products be enhanced. Potential customers will only develop interest in the product designs only if they have seen the products, been attracted to them and are willing and able to acquire them. Composition of different elements of art in a piece of art work is a vital factor in graphic design (Friedlein, 2001).
Effective visual communication through art works has become relevant to many companies in the world. These designs are used in differentiation between different products within similar organizations or identical products in different companies. Therefore, the role of graphic design artwork is something that cannot be overemphasized as it speaks for itself. Visual art skills are extremely influential in graphic design. Before applying to a design, graphic elements are generated from graphic arts (Cossu, 2009).

The role of internet communication in Graphic design learning and training:
Traditionally before the communication front developed the internet, people who aspired to become graphic designers were forced to sit with a teacher and peers in a classroom (Meggs, 1998). It was only in this setup where they could gain knowledge on the concepts, practices, styles and techniques used in graphic design. These students were then tested and graded basing on the areas which they had learnt in class. Qualification would then be rewarded to individual students basing on the test. This qualification is what would portray the skills of the students. This has not been fazed out of the system. It is still practiced in modern times. However, with the coming of the internet and the worldwide web, the learning environment has been bettered. Graphic design students no longer learn in a secluded environment, this hence implies that their learning timetables are now flexible. In addition, the means of sharing information between different institutions have been improved by the virtue of utilizing the internet. Different learning institutions share information and form collaborations and partnerships on projects. Graphic design training has been enhanced through the use of internet communication. The internet is slowly replacing the old form of learning (Heller, 2005). The pace and quality of doing work by students has also been improved through the open channels of information acquisition and exchange by students. The quality graphic design studies have gone high because it is easy for students to find information and revise concepts. With the internet, help from peers on problematic issues has been enabled. Students can access information and other learning materials at their convenience (Anton, 2012).
Online classes have been launched and have their merits as well as demerits as far as quality learning of graphic design is concerned. Advantages of online classes are: flexible learning periods. This implies that students can learn at their chosen time, and most of the resources can be accessed without payment of subscription fees. The other advantage of online learning of graphic design is that there are different quality and assurance sites forums and blogs from which information can be accessed (Heller, 2003). With online studies, students mingle with the established graphic designers who motivate them as well as inform them on any emerging trends.
The demerits of online classes include the presence of unreliable sources of information, which may be misleading, and the increases likelihood of cheating by students. The other obvious demerit is the dependency on internet connectivity, which might not be available in certain areas. In spite of the demerits of demerits of the internet in teaching and learning graphic design, it is evident that the internet has revolutionized the learning of graphic design (Kokil, 2004).

Online art galleries and their impact on the graphic design market
According to the International Conference on Artificial Reality and Tele-existence, online galleries mainly aim at utilizing internet as a communication channel and availing new interactive presentations to the world. They are online stores where pieces of art work are displayed by graphic designers. The issue of digital content management is an emerging trend in virtual reality (Pan and International Conference on Artificial Reality and Tele-existence, 2006).
The internet enables graphic designers via the galleries to inform their clients about the type and availability of art work products. This happens on a global platform due to the setup of the internet. Internet has eased marketing management of graphic design art works (Taylor & Ryan, 1995). Retailers of graphic design art works have been positioned in a wider market arena by virtue of using internet as a marketing tool. Digital marketing has been on the rise in almost all parts of the world. This is due to the benefits that accrue to the use of the internet in enhancing business and management activities. The process of management has been evolving, and with the advancement in internet use, in communication, management has become simpler. This means that is becoming easier to access customers over the internet than the old form of interactions. Graphic designers can benefit more is they choose to put more emphasis on developing online galleries. Online shopping has become a modern trend by many customers meaning that online stores or shopping galleries are gaining prominence in modern marketing management activities. Therefore, the internet is the best way of reaching more customers (Irvine & Theresa, 2002).

Graphic design by use of internet enhanced applications
There is an array of software packages that can be used by graphic designers. The software enhances the speed with which the graphic designers carry out their tasks. Also, accuracy and efficiency levels are have been improved. Through the internet, the software packages are readily available (Fowler and Stanwick, 2004). The internet enables quick access to packages through downloading. The internet has paced up the rate at which graphic designers can update these software applications. Graphic designers can also easily access the reviews of these packages. Internet minimizes the cost of acquiring these software packages by the graphic designer thence giving them a chance to explore in other areas (Desmond, 2011).
Through the internet expansive opportunities have been availed to graphic designers. Graphic designers can now make use of several web tools. These include the designing of websites, content management system creation, flash design and banners among many others. However, training is crucial for the graphic designers who are adopting internet tools in enhancing their activities (Lawrence & Little, 2001).
Internet has revolutionized communication thereby easing work for graphic designers. Before the internet was invented, it had been hard for graphic designers to find or make their products reach their customers. Graphic designers used to post advertisements in local newspapers and other means of advertising of which they had to bear the high costs involved (Berman, 2010).
The internet has a wide range or means of advertising. Moreover, most of the means of advertising are unpaid. It enables designers to meet a wide range of clients. Two things have been simplified concerning access to clients. First is the reach or access to clients. The second thing is access to customers by the clients (Virtual art museums and galleries, 2010).Through the internet; graphic designers can quickly send their work to clients. The designers can then get feedback quickly. This saves on time as well as cost of availing products to customers and the general communication pattern between graphic designers and their customers (Farr, 2003).
Graphic designers are left with a big space to make choices as it appertains to their relationship with clients. They can either choose to design specifically as per the customer’s specifications, or they can also choose to make multiple designs for multiple sales (Sherin, 2008). This is because the internet offers a wide and viable market where the production can be easily sold. There existence of a variety of software packages, which can be utilized in making different designs for clients in the market. This in turn enhances speed and efficiency in the works of the graphic designer (Engholm, 2002).
Different design templates can be moulded from the packages. They include Joomla template, Drupal template, WordPress. These templates have differing graphical elements which distinct one design from the other (Graphic Mania, 2010).
Online communities of graphic designers
With modern communication, the internet has enabled the development of online communities for different artist and graphic designers. Online communities are developed basing on social networking sites (Miletsky, 2010, Zarrella & Zarrella, 2011). There are many social networking platforms in the world today. These include Yahoo, Twitter and MySpace among many other social websites. Thus, with these social networking platforms, it is easy to develop strong online communities which not only help in interacting with other graphic designers but also clients (Bostic, 2011, Kabani, 2012). Deviant Art is an example of an online community where different designers and artists connect with each other and exchange their pieces of art works. Designers are allowed to create their profiles. These profiles have background information on the designer which can be accessed by other designers in the online community (Ehow, 2012).

Benefits and the limitations of the internet accruing to the graphic designers
The growth in the popularity of internet use and the worldwide web has brought about voluminous opportunities for graphic designers (Fiell and Fiell, 2003). However, as lucrative as the internet may be, there are constraints that are attached to its use. The benefits include: Graphic designers can now communicate with ease to both their customers and people with whom they partner to produce more decent art works. Cross-media marketing has been enhanced where graphic designers can have their products displayed on different ranges of media reaching a wider audience (Plunkett, 2007). Online storefronts have been established by graphic designers. These stores have been developed on online art sites; for example, web-to print. Graphic designers can easily upload their products to these websites. Clients can also upload the types or examples of art work which they prefer to be produced by the designers. It is easy to do this especially so to customers and designers who reside far apart from each other (‘Moving Pictures’, 2011).
Merits of online graphic design systems like web-to-print are numerous. They enable the graphic designers, print houses, corporate clients as well as the publics to gain access to both the public and private online catalogues. This, in turn, enables designers to make final changes to the art works basing on the comments posted by the clients. Therefore, clients can easily approve a given piece of artwork devoid of the expenses or effort to meet face-to-face with the designer. Online templates also give a change to the designers and customers to manage the brands. They get a chance to assess the contents of the art works in the course of development since the projects are conducted online (Gao, 2005).
Graphic Design course appeals to many students; this is because of the huge range of flexibility to suit various interests. It would enhance the emergence of an artist which might eventually pave way for creative masters.
Online art work systems are effective not only created for clients or customers of the art works but also for the graphic designers. There are also a number of demerits which can be linked to these systems. At times, there are limitations to the access to art development software and online or server systems (Zarrella, 2011). This is common for graphic designers who do their work on a small-scale. This means that only graphic designers practicing on a large scale can afford to use these systems on an unlimited basis. The system is expensive for small-scale graphic designers who end up being overshadowed in the global market. Their creativity is killed since they cannot afford to export their products to the system for view and review by clients. Small-scale designers cannot also afford to purchase and install digital systems, which are a prerogative for the systems to work (Heller, 2005). While high level efficiency can be achieved by using the systems, the access to these systems is limited hindering its ultimate objective (Suffling, 2012).
However, the major draw back while using the internet is the fact that it only viable for well established businesses due to the exorbitant costs involved.
Research methodology
Research design
This is an exploratory or secondary research. This is pegged on the fact that it used secondary materials as the primary or main source of information (Vogt, Gardner and Haeffele, 2012). According to Nathan, secondary research materials ought to be collected from different resource materials preferably published in recent times. (Kiecolt and Nathan, 2000). All the information relevant to the topic under study was sourced from the research material. The information was sourced according to the research questions that were guiding this research. The literature sought to answer the questions under study and by effect providing information which was later analysed to give the best outcomes of this research (Smith, 2008). The literature review carried a lot of information which gave an extensive range of information for analysis thereby giving thereby releasing outcomes that have a strong foundation. The findings of this research were based on a thorough analysis of the information of the literature collected (Salkind, 2010). In secondary research, data is collected from recent sources, the data is analysed then compared to relevant pieces of literature (Royse, 2008). Data analysis was done by comparing between different pieces of information in the literature. Basis on the analysis of the information that was gathered in the literature review, a number of recommendations were made. These recommendations can open into future research besides helping in strengthening the use of internet communication in enhancing the marketing of art works made by graphic designers (Vartanian, 2011).
Data findings and analysis
The use of internets is undoubtedly the most critical development of the twentieth and twenty first century. The internet has revolutionized communication in the entire world. The internet is used in enhancing several practices as it quickens the exchange of information thereby speeding up the communication process and the accomplishment of tasks. Internet communication has been widely used in enhancing management activities especially so marketing improvement. Different professions and professionals make use of the internet communication in simplifying the way they conduct their businesses. Graphic design and designers are among the beneficiaries of internet communication (Lees-Maffei and Houze, 2010).
Internet communication helps graphic designers in different ways bust most importantly in spreading their artwork to a wider coverage. Graphic designers are taking advantage of the numerous communication aspects that are offered on the worldwide web to craft better pieces of artwork and spread them to the internet. Internet communication has enhanced the marketing of artworks which are made by the graphic designers.
A clear example is the web-to-print system which has proved to be highly effective for those who are already utilizing it in graphic design development. Online systems have been developed to enhance the development and exchange of art works between graphic designers and also between the designers and their clients. There are many advantages as well as disadvantages of adopting and use of these systems by graphic designers. Literature has proved that these systems are far too sophisticated, and their utilization does not only enhance communication between designers and clients. It also enhances the quality of art work done by graphic designers. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
There is only one significant disadvantage of these systems which is that they are expensive for graphic designers who are practicing design on a small-scale (Heller, 2005). These designers cannot easily afford the cost of acquiring digital systems on which the systems work. They cannot also afford online subscription fees which are expensive thence unsustainable to them. This has a number of implications on graphic designers. It means that only a few graphic designers can adopt and utilize these systems in enhancing artwork. It also implies that the upcoming graphic designers cannot access and use these systems thence there is a limit to marketing their art work.
This denotes that the internet can be an effective form of communication which can aid graphic designers in spreading their artwork to a wider network of customers. However, there is one aspect of internet communication, which is still hindering the full muse by graphic designers. This concern is that internet communication is still expensive and cannot be afforded by many graphic designers. This limits the number of art work that is spread to the entire world. Small-scale designers can only afford to spread their pieces of work in localized areas where they can physically access.                           With internet, communication comes social networking where different professions and business persona utilize social networking to promote their business and professions (Zimmerman, 2012). According to the information in literature, graphic designers have not been left behind in this area. Most of them are either developing or joining online communities of designers. Through these online communities, the graphic designers have developed healthy relations, which are fostering the development of many varied artworks. The graphic designers have not taken the full advantage of the social networks to introduce artwork in the global market. This is due to the challenges that are facing the graphic designers and the use of the internet. This leaves a vacuum which is created by the untapped potential in the utilization of internet communication to enhance marketing (Smith & Zook, 2011, Weinberg, 2009).
It is argued that the internet only benefits a fraction of graphic designers; those who have advanced and can acquire the relevant communication or internet enabler tools. These tools are still expensive to many designers rendering them unable to benefit from internet communication. However, the rate at which graphic designers have been exporting their work to the internet is pleasant. Considerable achievements have been already made by those people who have managed to adopt internet use. With a little support, more achievements can be made.
With the utilization of the internet, online graphic design systems have been developed. The online graphic design systems help both the graphic designers and their clients. Once subscribed to these system networks, a person can export the products online which are then viewed and assessed by interested clients. The clients give comments, leaving the designers with a room to improve the art works making them attractive. This is encouraging to graphic designers who can afford to pay the subscription fees because they are guaranteed of having their works reach many people. They also get a change on improving on them making them more appealing and more accessible to a larger number of clients. The development of more online graphic design systems will help in bringing down the cost of accessing these systems thereby enabling designers to use the systems.

Conclusion and recommendations
Graphic design is yet to be termed as thoroughly institutionalized. Graphic design mainly embodies d as art. The roots of Graphic design span far back to the age national flags and other symbols that represented belief or meant to clarify authority. Over the years, graphic design has achieved remarkable milestones in its growth and development. Graphic design is all about art and hence, it has transformed drastically the creative psychological and life of many people. Revolutions in the media industry have impacted greatly to the prevailing sway graphic design has been able to attain.
For many, the internet has revolutionized communication in the entire world. Internet communication is undoubtedly one of the best communication tools that can be used to enhance business at all levels. Unlike the old systems of communication, internets communication; the use of the worldwide web reaches the entire global so long as there is internet access. Any piece of communication passed over the internet can easily reach people from all corners of the world.
Briefly put, the internet has led to an overhaul in the graphic design field. The impact it has made is remarkable and is evident from the milestones the field has attained. The impact of the internet on graphic design has cut across the industry. The main areas that can be highlighted and appreciated as the major benefactors would include: provision of forms online training: both materials and practice, enhancing marketing through the online art galleries commonly referred to as virtual galleries, availing mentors to the aspiring graphic designers in the form of advice and experience from the established graphic designers. Also, the internet has facilitated better communication between the graphic designers thus enhancing better method to share information. The internet has availed software packages that have improved the quality of work both in relation to efficiency and accuracy. The internet has led to unified development and growth
First and foremost, Internet communication has been resourceful to the graphic design industry. Training of graphic designers has been revolutionized through the adoption of internet technologies in learning graphic design. Learners can easily access learning materials via the internet thus expanding their knowledge base in the field of graphic design. More attractive graphic design projects are also developed by virtue of information sharing and online collaborative working by students. Therefore, internet communication has increased the quality of studies in graphic design and development.
The internet has helped the graphic designers in two major ways with regards to communication. The internet has availed communication between the graphic designers and their clients. Also the communication between the graphic designers themselves has ben enhanced through the upcoming online communities. Through the superior rise in technology, graphic designers are able to communicate their ideologies to the society. Graphic designers have been taking advantage of internet communication in reaching a larger market. More art works done by graphic designers have been able to reach the entire world through the utilization of internet in developing and displaying these products to a wider audience. This is achieved by use of visualizations in various forms of art. Graphic designers mainly communicate through visual metaphors and use of graphical puns. The art work by a graphical designer has to be articulated for the audience to view it and deduce their own inferences. The emergence of improved designer client communication through email and instant messaging has also led to growth of the industry. This is because the internet has been able to eradicate the issue of geographical immobility barrier hence paving way for efficient business transactions. It also offers graphic designers numerous free ways to advertise their services and find new clients. The internet has hence impacted greatly on the graphic design industry.
However, for the graphic design fraternity to fully maximize the use of internet communication in spreading art works of graphic designers in the world there is a need to develop more online shopping sites. As it is today, there are a few online marketing sites that are dedicated to marketing art works made by graphic designers. An example of such online marketing sites is Drawshop.com which has been doing a horrendous job of displaying a range of art work. Though it has done well, this site also deals with advertising and marketing of many other products. This limits its capacity to concentrate on the marketing of art works. This denotes that there is a limitation in online marketing means for art work. The developments of online marketing sites which specifically deals with the display and advertisement of art work made by graphic designers will be a positive step for the industry.
Emergence of the online social communities is a major contribution to the business fraternity and the world as a whole. However, more online communities for graphic designers need to be developed. These communities will enhance dialogue between different graphic designers in different parts of the world. Therefore, with online communities, more healthy conversations can be developed helping graphic designers in pulling up their minds and coming up with more creative art works. Through conversation, graphic designers get to know how to access certain markets by making art works that meet the demand of the clients found.
Through the internet, information flow is enhanced. This has thus led to diversity in the graphic design industry. Graphic designers have managed to produce a vast range of artwork because of the increased number of clients. Internet communication is expected to expose the art work to many customers in different destinations and regions globally. To tailor-make the art work to suit the large number of customers, there is a need to come up with more graphic design programs. A wide range of graphic design programs can offer the graphic designers with many design options on their products. Therefore, the designers have to learn to use more design programs which will add value to their products. Graphic designers need not only to concentrate on reaching clients but also offering them a wide range of art work from which to choose from.
Through the internet, the software packages aiding graphic designers are readily available. There are better programs, which have been developed and can help in producing better art work. The software enhances the speed with which the graphic designers carry out their tasks. Also, accuracy and efficiency levels are have been improved. Also through the rise in technology development of three dimensional programs which enhance the variation in quality and variations in art works is currently possible. The internet communication has also introduced entirely new concepts of graphic design including web design and stock sales.
However, the internet surely has its flaws. For instance, it facilitates aspiring designers to cheat in examinations. Also, the prevailing online art display systems are expensive for most designers. Stakeholders in this field have been seeking and planning on how to develop smaller, simplified and effective systems which would be utilized by the graphic designers who produce art works on a smaller scale. This will be effectively achieved through conducting digital assessment of the current digital systems. The assessment will give a clear basis on which to develop systems that can accommodate most if not all graphic designers. This is a full management process requiring time and financial investment for good results. This is a positive idea which has to be backed by all the stakeholders in the graphic design industry. When these systems start functioning, many graphic designers will be able to have their products reach a large audience.
It is thus evident that graphic design is a major benefactor of the internet. This is so because most of its growth and developments are largely pegged on the communication media.
