Field Trip Report

This field trip report will focus on my previous visit to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on mid September, 2012. The visit was purposed to find out about how the company offers its services to its clients. PwC is a multinational service firm, in fact, the largest in the world offering wide range of expertise/professional advisory services in various fields like accounting, assurance and so forth. Mission: My Experience
PwC is indeed a great company in offering profession services to solve business problems. PwC is committed to diversity, working flexibility, career training, and coaching. In regards to diversity, PwC has well defined initiatives aimed to attract, develop as well as advance talents of individuals irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability status amongst other factors. As for working flexibility, PwC provides training and coaching to all its employees and clients to help improve their awareness of their differences and the role they play. This helps to promote high performing workplace culture. On top of this, PwC offers corporate responsibility strategies to develop responsible professionals who are good in making financial decisions. This makes it to have the required experts who can handle all business related problems.
In respect to the above PwC attributes, PwC is rated amongst the best working environments in the world of which I can attest to. From 2005-2012, PwC has been ranked consistently amongst the top 100 best firms to work for according to the Fortune magazine. On the part of training, PwC has been ranked first in 125 top companies three years in a row starting 2008 (Time Warner Company. 2012).
Conclusion and Recommendations
PwC is a renowned firm in offering expert services pertaining difficult problems in varying business fields more so assurance. The PwC missions guides the company appropriately in achieving its goals and objectives. This makes the company a good fit for many people and I included. Additionally, this mission helps to eliminate conflicts in how the company is run and how people cope with it. PwC motivated and inspired during my short visit, so I would encourage the program to plan for continued visit to the firm.
