Description:
This assessment is designed to serve both summative and formative purposes. Both critical thinking and research skills will be assessed as you will be required to demonstrate abilities to critically analyse and evaluate, apply key concepts and theories, and communicate your analyses and decisions via a presentation and hand-in.

3. Case analysis may involve collaboration with students within you class and from international universities
4. An important component of case discussion is comment on the work of others
 
WRITTEN FORMAT FOR CASE STUDIES
 
­   Complete the case study exercises prior to attending the tutorials. Bring 1 hard copy of your completed case analysis to class. Two column format illustrated below is suggested as it allows you to record notes from discussion.
 
­   This assessment relies on the use of peer marking. At the start of the class, all completed cases will be consolidated and you will each be allocated one for marking. During the tutorial you will work with your tutor and classmates in assessing this case.
 
­     Feedback is provided during the tutorial – active participation in the workshop, and paraphrasing and recording the corrections and ideas from other students will help deepen your understanding.
 
­     The marked case must be submitted at the end of the class. Submissions cannot be emailed.
 
  

Answer the questions briefly and concisely. If you have written more than 1000 words, you have written too much. Use your own words but acknowledge specific ideas and words that come from web sites or texts. Primary sources are the case study your Book of Readings and corporate and industry websites.

NB: Review of Marks
The nature of the assessment items such as tutorial exercises and the industry analysis requires that a review of marks must be initiated and completed as soon as possible. Any request for a review of marks based on case study analysis and assessment items must be made within seven days of the correction of the exercises or receipt of the assessment item directly to your tutor in the first instance.
