(a) Replicate the results reported in Section 3 of the paper as best as you can using the data for 1960:1 – 1994:4 for the original three countries (US, Germany, Japan). Repeat the procedure, first, for 1995:1 – 2015:3, and then for the entire time period, 1960:1 – 2015:3. Comment on any similarities and differences between your results and the results in the paper.
