Logical Fallacy Project

Choose three logical fallacies to research and present in a PPT.
I. Make a short six slide PowerPoint presentation for each fallacy (your choice of fallacies) to introduce the concept, provide a definition, and provide three examples of the fallacy. Two of the three must have been real and reported via a media agency. Use parenthetical references for all information you provide. Your final slide is a Works Cited page. You will organize it like this:
Slide 1 – Title of fallacy in English and Latin if the Latin applies. Slide 2 – Full definition of the fallacy from an academic source. (cite source in small letters at the bottom of the slide) Slide 3 – Example 1 of fallacy and explanation of why the example you present is an effective example of the fallacy. For example: This is a good example of false analogy because we see… This can be a fictional or a real fallacy.? Slide 4 – Example 2 of fallacy (real with source cited), and why the example you present is an effective example of the fallacy. Slide 5 – Example 3 of fallacy (real with source cited), and why the example you present is an effective example of the fallacy?Slide 6 – Works cited slide.
You will need to turn in to me on the day of the presentations ( or in a separate link on Moodle if you’re in one of the online sections, a 1 page handout explaining your PPT. It should be about 250 words. Please put the word count as the last thing you type on the paper. Your PPT should be another 250 words or so for a total of a minimum of 500 words.
You are not required to attend a conference for this assignment, but you are always welcome to schedule one with me or the writing center if you would like.
