The background of the area of study
Education provision for students with learning disability can be a huge challenge for a community. The learning disability may not be easily diagnosed. It affects about 30 percent of any population. In Saudi Arabia, for every 30,000 students, at least 33% are affected by learning disabilities. Early diagnosis and recognition is important since if the condition is not detected, it can affect a person’s self esteem, social life, personality, and most importantly, academic achievements. The earlier the problem is identified the faster a person can access necessary support can be given both at home and at school. There is no medical cure for the condition, but the effects can be reduced since these groups are just average or below average. They are average or below average due to their brain’s inability to process information like the brains good or fast learners. Neglecting the problem with high school students can result into school dropout. Children with this disability feel that they are different from classmates, and this can cause them social problems.
Learning disability is not only a problem with a person, but affects the parents and the teachers too. The child or the student may have the inability to separate the sounds of spoken letters, recognize sounds associated with a certain letter, understand and recall new concepts, read fluently, master words, miss sequent letters and words while reading or writing. A parent can be stressed upon discovering the problem. Some parents can feel pain as a result of feeling responsible for the child`s problem. The parent will take longer to teach and understand the child that can be frustrating. It has been noted that having a child with learning disability can affect the interaction lifestyle in a family and between siblings.

In the design, two kinds of voices would be used with one representing the parent or the teacher while the other representing the child. This will be aimed at helping the child in letter pronunciation and differentiation. There will be six voices recorded. Three representing the teacher’s and the other three for the child. In between learning, motivating phrases are input to encourage the child and improve self confidence.
The software will be equipped with a tracking ability so that progress follow-up on all the children who use the service is made. The follow up will ensure that the things that the child has learnt are noted so that he/she can move to other steps. This will help in rating the efficiency of the software.
The parents should be able to provide children with multiple games that will make learning interesting for a child. Games are important as they improve a child’s creativity and promotes concentration.

Plan of time line
To support parents of children with disabilities, the project will design softwares specifically for developing Arabic alphabets. The design of the destruction free material will ensure that the children are attracted to the content of the design, but not the design itself.
The use of the two simulating voices that represent the teacher/parent and the child would be portable so that the child can use it at home or in an educational environment. To simplify learning, the software will incorporate the basics of Arabic alphabets that will enable a child recognize and read words and sentences in Arabic language.
It is important for parents to recognise learning disabilities. The disability is just one area of weakness that can be supported by other areas of strength. The parent should focus on the child’s talent so that they do not dwell on the area of disability as this will nurture his/her talents. The proposal is based on improving the child’s learning ability through technology education. However, the parent should recognise that a solution to this problem does not rely fully on school education. Therefore, they should support and encourage their children. The condition can be stressful for both child and parent. Thus, parents should encourage healthy physical and emotional habits.
