Work and Professional Experience
I have worked with Apple Inc. as a marketing manager for the computer brands in the Northern Region in 2009. This job helped me familiarize with the marketing of different brands and how to introduce new brands in a market. It is through this job that I acquired skills in communicating with different customers to create demand to potential and existing customers. To be specific, I was able to facilitate in the introduction of two Apple brands in the Northern Region and these have gained popularity among consumers up to date.
 
To acquaint myself with research, I have conducted a research on customer satisfaction survey, work, environment baseline survey, external customer satisfaction and survey about customers in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, I surveyed training needs about professionals in the industry to identify the required skills for marketing various brands in the pharmaceutical industry. These studies were done in conjunction with a master’s degree student at Oxford University where I was acting as a research assistant. During these surveys, I not only learnt new skills in market research but I also got a chance to exercise my acquired knowledge in SPSS to conduct data analysis.
 
While working with Apple Inc. I did part time jobs as a tutor at a local business training college where I acquired wealth of knowledge on teaching business related courses and in particular, marketing of different brands in a market. I also acquired skills in leadership because I was able to mobilize students to market various products in the college. Through this exercise I was able to establish partnerships with stakeholders in the business and marketing arena.
