Thesis:  Warfare in the Napoleonic era has provided evidence on development of modern warfare practiced today.  The five major influences on modern warfare are universal conscription, unity of command, force structure, decisive battle, and logistics.
II.    Napoleon implemented universal conscription in order to produce a great increase in the number of soldiers.
