Rhetorical Analysis Essay
In consultation with your instructor and groupmates, locate a text related to your topic and conduct a rhetorical analysis of it, generating a rhetorical analysis essay of 1200 words.
You are to identify the strategies employed by the author of the text you choose and evaluate whether or not the author succeeds in achieving his or her goal based on the rhetorical strategies used (ethos, pathos, logos, and kairos) and given the rhetorical situation (author, audience, message, and purpose).
(Note: you do not have to address all rhetorical strategies or appeals, just the ones you think are used most prominently in the source text.)
Deadlines:
You must select a source you plan to analyze by Friday, 9/23 in class. Bring a proposal identifying your source and explaining how it relates to your research topic. You may choose one of the sources from the list below that is related to your research topic, or you may find a source on your own.

Peer Review begins in class and must be completed by Friday, 9/30, by midnight. If you do not upload your draft before class starts on the due date, you will not be able to participate in peer review and will receive two zeros.
