in your individual tenders. This should include the contribution that your theme
could make to the economic growth of the Liverpool City Region.
• A discussion of best practice exemplars in relation to your theme – identify
geographic areas, regionally, nationally and internationally, that have been
successful in promoting economic growth focused on your theme.
• Specific aims/objectives for economic growth in the Liverpool City Region, with
your theme as a focus. These should be realistic, drawing on the existing context,
but aspirational, and aimed at achieving a “step change” in economic
performance for the City Region.
• Discussion of policies or proposals to achieve your aims/objectives. This should
include reflection upon the appropriate tier of planning which should be
responsible for these policies/proposals, i.e. local authority or at the City Region
level through the new statutory city-region framework specified in the
devolution deal for Liverpool City Region.
• A strategic plan/diagram, and/or a detailed masterplan for one specific site
within the Liverpool City Region that could act as a flagship for economic
development in relation to your theme.
