Team Project Requirements
Objective:
Team Project is designed to provide learners an integrated learning experience by applying valuable
concepts learned in this and other courses. The project involves performing a detailed analysis related to
Business Globalization (i.e. expanding a KSA business into another Country-X). It will constitute an important
Assurance of Learning exercise for many of the BS program learning goals such as International
Perspective, Critical Thinking, Research Skills, Team Skills, Communications Skills, etc. This project is to be
done by a team of 4-5 smart learners from the same section.
Project Proposal Requirements: Due on Wed. Feb. 15, 2017
Submit a 2-3 page proposal for your team project including:
A. List of Team Members. Nominate a Team Lead.
B. Name the Country-X you have selected for the Business Globalization project
Project Progress Report-1 Requirements (token 2.5%): Due on Wed. March 22, 2017
Conduct a Survey of the Business Environment of Country-X selected by your team by discussing:
C. Political Environment of Country-X and Differences between Country-X and KSA. [political system,
political / government structure, political parties, political risk, etc.]
D. Legal Environment of Country-X and Differences between Country-X and KSA. [legal system, legal issues
in international business, legal risk, etc.]
E. Economic Environment of Country-X and Differences between Country-X and KSA. [economic system,
main products and services, economic risk, etc.]
F. Cultural Environment of Country-X and Differences between Country-X and KSA. [cultural determinants,
cultural dimensions, norms, mores, value of planning/time/relationship/networking, etc.]
G. Monetary Environment of Country-X and Differences between Country-X and KSA. [currency system,
currency risk, etc.]
H. Trading / Business Environment of Country-X and Differences between Country-X and KSA. [major
exports / imports, main trading partners, regional / global economic integration, tariff / trade barriers, government incentives
for conducting business there, etc.]

Prepare a Plan for Expanding your Business from KSA to Country-X:

Final Project Report Requirements (25%): Due on Wed. May 17, 2017
The team project report should be type written, 1.5 line-spaced, using 12-point size font, and should
normally not exceed 25 pages (excluding cover page, tables, figures, appendices, references, and
endnotes). Your progress reports should help you in preparing this Final Project Report. I recommend you
approach this project report as a consulting firm or government agency providing information about this
country to businesspeople around the world. This report could readily be used by a firm located anywhere in
the world that may be interested in doing business with your selected country. Your reports should include
