A Bouncing mat competition in aid for Syria Relief and the orphan`s project.
Purpose
The purpose of this event is engage people to donate money to the charity: Syria Relief, to create awareness of the war in Syria – the main cause, create awareness of the charity Syria Relief, create awareness of the MSc Project Management course at University of Westminster and to raise money for Syria Relief itself through creating an engaging and fun event.
Composition
The event will comprise of a bouncing mat competition which enables people to compete against each other in aid of the orphans in Syria. The bouncing mat will be placed at two different campuses at University of Westminster between the 25th and the 28th April. Each participant must pay a minimum of £2 each to participate and the competition comprise of beating the other participant in order to break the record of the previous contestants. The winning participant will receive a prize (REF INSERT, will be confirmed when we have the prizes). At the end of their participation, information about our JustGiving page where they can donate more money will be provided. Those who donate the most money will receive the best prize (REF INSERT, wil be confirmed when we have them). Suggested tickets now are tickets to the Regent Street Cinema, dinner for two at a nice restaurant and tickets to the University of Westminster Dance Festival on the 5th April.
Derivation
Our target is to reach £315 pounds by the 18th May with the tolerance of plus minus £30.
Format & Presentation
Information about Syria Relief as an organisation, information about the war in Syria and why donating is important, information about the MSc Project Management course at Univestity of Westminster and why we are doing this event will be provied. The information will be provided written on a stand in the learning platform of Marylebone campus and each member of the group will know about the four different aims of this event and provide people with this information through oral communication with University of Westminster students. The information must follow the law of copyright and plagiarism.
Materials required for this event is the bouncing mat, a clock, a register of the participants with their email address and a board showing the participants records.
Development skills required
Essential skills required to plan this event involves management and leadership skills, including communication management, quality management, benefit management, change management and excellent planning skills which enables us to set up the event before the 18th May.
Essential skills required for the day of the event is excellent communication skills by being enthusiastic about the cause and creating an engaging environment through which participants wishes to contribute to Syria Relief by donating money.
