Business Research Project

Part A. Research Proposal
For your continuous assessment, you are required to draw up a short 2 page research proposal for a business topic for which you propose to carry out a comprehensive literature review. The proposal should include a title which should be concise and descriptive. If possible, think of an informative or catchy title. It should also include preliminary research on the topic proposed for your Literature review and include references and a proposed timeframe for completing the work.
Submission Date: 1st March 2016
Part B. Literature Review
Carry out a literature review (3500 words) on your chosen area. You should do the following:
Demonstrate your ability to critically evaluate relevant literature information.
Provide an insight into research in the area and the trends which have emerged.
Demonstrate your familiarity with the research topic chosen and what is already known in the area. Develop critical judgement of the research in the chosen area.
Include key academic theories in the area.
Demonstrate that knowledge of your chosen area is up to date and reflected throughout.
Ensure clear referencing throughout to avoid potential charges of potential plagiarism.
Ensure you provide coherency and structure which link together the different ideas you find in the literature to form a coherent and cohesive argument. Make use of subheadings to bring order and coherence to your review.
Submission Date: 15th April, 2016.
Part C. Presentation
You will present the findings of your Literature Review in a 10 minute presentation to a panel. The presentation should demonstrate a good general knowledge of your chosen area, demonstrate you can carry out research independently and communicate your subject to others professionally and be able to answer questions. Presentations will take place week beginning 25th April 2016. A schedule will be posted in advance.
